The Tourist Corridor is part of one of the most important vacation destinations in the country offering an array of leisure activities, including water sports, extreme desert races, and some of the most incredible golf courses and tennis courts in the world. But probably the most famous attraction in the area is the amazing scenery and the lavish resorts that offer tourists a chance to really experience the breathtaking surrounding environment. Located between Mexico's northern desert and the beautiful beaches of the Pacific Coast, the area boasts clear blue skies and dramatic sunsets, all of which makes this a truly spectacular destination for a dream vacation.
Fishing
This area of the Pacific has an abundance of game fish, such as marlin (black, blue, and striped), sailfish, billfish, mahi-mahi, and amberjacks, thus it a great place for trophy fishing. Several marinas offer fishing trips that include the boat and all the tackle or they can also help you organize a trip on your own vessel.
Diving
Exploring the unique underwater world of the Sea of Cortez is certainly a treat for divers. You can see incredible formations, such as the famous ''sand falls'' or the splendid colonies of black coral, home to hundreds of beautiful underwater species. Many resorts offer diving courses for beginners, as do most of the marinas in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.
Golf
In recent years, golf has become one of the main attractions in the area. Many of the world-class courses were designed by the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Tom Weiskopf, and Robert Trent Jones II, and play host to important professional championships. Located throughout the Corridor, there are lots of courses suitable for both experts and beginners alike.
Beaches
Famous for their golden sands, some of the most stunning beaches on the Sea of Cortez are found along the Los Cabos Tourist Corridor. The resorts are home to many of them but you can also visit the public ones, such as Palmilla, El Chileno and Santamaria. The beaches closer to San Jose del Cabo, such as Acapulquito and Costa Azul, often have exciting surfing competitions.
