This magnificent Robert Trent Jones II, 18-hole championship course was created out of the Cabo Desert Mountains with finishing holes situated close to the Sea of Cortez. It plays like no other course in Cabo, difficult because of the canyons that threaten every tee shot.
Cabo Real Golf Course was the site of the 1999 PGA Senior Slam Tournament. The course is a classic design, spanning over 6,900 yards of verdant landscape with three ocean-front holes. There are also four other tee options for those wishing to play a shorter course.
With its numerous sand traps and water features, the course provides a real challenge for low handicap golfers but is still great fun for beginners. The Cabo Real Golf Course ensures every golfer has a fun round.
A picturesque and diverse course, Cabo Real features rolling fairways with strategically placed bunkers that work their way up to the 6th tee, 460 feet above sea level. The first six holes are in mountainous terrain, with hills and valleys stretching into the surrounding Sierras, while others are nestled beside the beach.
An inspiring view awaits you from each of them. Stronger players may be caught overshooting the 12th hole, which sits on a high hilltop facing the sea. The most spectacular view of the course is from the 15th tee, directly on the beach, and plays near the surf in front of the hotel Melia Cabo Real and the Las Ventanas al Paraiso. There is a Pro-shop with a great selection of merchandise and a snack bar.
